Buzzwords are a dime a dozen: wellness, balance, holistic, integrity, focus, discipline, harmony, peace.
Life’s big choices? There are only five. You know this right? My guess is that most people aren’t passionate enough about self-actualization to begin and finish the search.
Neither good nor bad. It is what it is. As long as we are fulfilled with our big choices in life. Right?
The five are Mind, Body, Spirit, Money and HQ. (repetition is the mother of all learning)
Am I missing one that you think is important, and doesn’t fall into the big five?

So how was getting out of bed today? Any better than two days ago?
So, sure, I deleted that email, but here’s why. Every month, that Doctor sends a few emails, and they all sound the same, “Buy my stuff”. But when do these “salespeople” show us their authenticity? When do they show us they’re real, genuine – a person you would trust like a friend?
Um, let’s see, like never.
Sure, it would be easier to unsubscribe from his emails, but hey, when you’re really busy, it’s so much quicker to hit delete.
For an unknown reason on his latest email though, I actually read a good portion and it sounded good. But.
But the realization came that he has never painted an image of who he is in real life.
There has been no real life, in real time.
Is it wrong to want this? To expect it? To consider it a non-negotiable?
Does anyone else crave authenticity, or it just me?

Bam!
Out of no where.
Talk about being hit with a blind spot!
Last week, the new guy said, “You’re the most boundary-less thinker I’ve ever met”.
Think about it, you might have some really exciting, positive blind spots.
Listen carefully when you engage with others. When they call you names, it will probably fly right over your head, or, it just might make your day.
Maybe it’s the tag line at the Next Blog that helped form the blind spot.
How was getting out of bed for you this Monday morning? Is it possible to be at a place in life where you can’t wait for your alarm to go off each morning?
Know what’s crazy? We can organize many things in life so that this is possible. Sure it’s work, but so is feeling lousy.
Besides being the new currency, really, what is authenticity?
Can you define it? Do you have it? Abundantly? Do you care?
It hit me last week in a very nice email invitation to “change my life, in 3 easy steps”. Reading the message, it sounded freakishly like something I might write.
And then the epiphany – I have no clue who this guy is.
There has been no trail of authenticity with him.
No trust.
So I hit delete.
