How did this happen

Disney Institute Customer Service Speaker keynotes
Started blogging in 2008, in the midst of The Great Recession.

Blog update October 2021

Have written over 24,000 blog posts.

You know how this happened?

A 1979 dream to write a book to my children.

We had our first and only child 20-something years later.

Began writing blog posts in 2008 to get some writing practice. Then one seemingly insignificant day at a time in 2009 magic happened.

Closing in on starting year 14 of writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts.

Not what you think

First, writer’s flood is a real thing. Been plagued by it since 2009.

So yesterday was just me playing with the writing muscle memory; the one referenced here. Effortlessly playing with the piano as it were.

So this keyboard – just playing with it.

And those thoughts in my head?

Same thing.

Welcome, everyone! Photo: Yesterday.

Jody Maberry asked me to write a welcome email.

For what?

For the first email “subscribers” receive after clicking, “sure, send me some inspiring, useful, potential game-changing, .think .differently, kind of business wisdom.”

Okay, today’s posts are gonna revolve around composing this for Jody.

Take a break?

Iconic mountains are cool.

Spoiler alert: This post may not make sense…simply a riff to start off writing a little differently today.

On cold, cloudy, Florida-winter mornings, it’s easy to yearn for warm, blue, sunny mornings.

Sitting at this desk, every morning, it’s easy to take sunny, blue and warm for granted.

Winters are why we live in Florida.

It’s 45 degrees now.

Had to go outside for two minutes.

The physical shock was nothing a bunch of layers won’t fix.

But who wants to get dressed up for two minutes?

So only a t-shirt and a vest.

(and always assume shorts, always)

God i hate the cold.

Man i love to write.

PS. Truth be told, i don’t even like wearing a t-shirt.
