Your Disney Side

Third day in a row being all over Walt Disney World property. Rode another 30 miles with Disney’s Animal Kingdom being first stop.

My Disney Side is brightening.

There will never (big word…never say never) be another time the Walt Disney World is closed for months at a time.

To ridiculously easily be able to visit every day is the main reason we moved to our current home.

If Disney Ran Your Life, you’d be living differently then you currently are.

Better.

More intentionally and more by design.

Vibrantly.

Organizational Trust

jeff noel, disney speaker, in Montana
In a word, risk-taking.

What would have to happen now so that in three years you are doing what you want to be doing?

Can you trust yourself to do the work now and for the next three years?

PS. Organizationally or personally, the decision and commitment is the same.

Hitting the ground running

What is unseen is the single Mickey Mouse balloon on the back side of the cake. The extra inch because it was easy to do and had a wow-factor to those who noticed.
Go the extra inch is a phrase i operationalized (made into a cultural habit) at Disney Institute from 2011-2014.

One of the key Disney business insights is understanding what industry expectations are and then exceeding those expectations in a scalable fashion so as to develop a reputation that not only leads the category, but potentially becomes the category.

Most podcasts are done in the same Host studio week after week.

Going on location and being in person with your podcast host(ess) is not normal.

Not normal is a great place to start.

Over-focus is the ultimate habit

Disney Keynote speaker
Tradition when leaving Glacier to return to Disney calls for one last photo in Apgar from the shore of Lake McDonald. A present reminder (one of hundreds or thousands) that there’s a remote possibility this is the last trip ever.

It is impossible to overstate the importance of this particular action:

Over focus on the things you use to under focus on or ignore.

Strip away all the non-essentials.

Learn to be intentional where you used to be unintentional.

There, you will begin your journey toward peace and contentment.

We rarely see it coming

Seating for 264. Thirteen of us watched the movie on opening day.

We rarely see it coming.

What?

Transformation or stagnation.

He who is not busy being born is busy dying.
