Lane 8, are you kidding me?

Lane 8, are you kidding me?

Nope.

Why would anyone want lane 8?

Please forgive me, but it just feels compelling to suggest you check out yesterday’s post at: www.lane8.org/?p=138

It’ll reveal my answer.

Dream big. Get there. Stay there. If you don’t, who will? Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

Slowest of the Fastest

What is your motivation?

Tough question, unless I get more specific, eh?

What’s your motivation, to want to not only get healthy, but stay healthy?

Here’s a website and blog that will show you my motivation:

www.lane8.org

Lane 8.org challenges you and me to: Dream Big. Get There. Stay There.

Dreaming is fairly easy. Setting a big goal and attaining it, an aweful lot of work. Staying there is a whole other story.

Staying there is virtually impossible.

My big, hairy, audacious health goal? To be the slowest of the fastest – out in lane 8. In the finals. At the world championships. This August.

Too Thankful at Mid Life?

Too thankful at Mid Life?

Hardly.

Richard Bach said something that may be perceived as being too thankful:

There is no such thing as a problem without a gift for you in it’s hands. You seek problems because you need their gifts.”

Is it possible, to be thankful for problems?

Or, as Richard Bach suggests, is it possible, we actually go looking for problems?

All I know is problems are everywhere and impact everyone.

I hope I never stop calling them opportunities and challenges.

Life is hard. Life is good.

Make it a great mid-life day, because if you don’t, who will? Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

What is your heart set upon?

What is your heart set upon?

In a quote, here’s a filter I use:

Before we set our hearts too much upon any thing, let us examine how happy those are who already possess it“. — Francois de La Rochefoucauld

May we all find what we’re looking for.

May we all like what we find.

And most importantly, it would seem, may we all be able to give it away so others may be blessed by it.

Everyday, I’m reminded how blessed I am to be alive. This makes me exceedingly grateful.

Case in point. Today I received a cortisone shot in my left heel. This is one of the most painful types of shots a human can get.

I told Dr. Curtis Wagner that I was thankful to have a foot to get a shot in. I know several people who are missing one or both of their feet.

What would they give to feel that aweful pain?

Probably everything.

My heart is set upon good health, in four key Mid-Life areas: Mind, Body, Spirit and Money.

My wife’s 94-year old Grammy used to say, “Health is Wealth“!

Words to live by and a goal to set our heart upon.

Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

Mid Life Gratitude

What is mid life gratitude?

How about this?

“Gratitude, more aware of what you have than what you don’t.

Recognizing the treasure in the simple – a child’s hug, fertile soil, a golden sunset.

Relishing in the comfort of the common – a warm bed, a hot meal, a clean shirt.”

Thank you, Max Lucado, for your wisdom.

Please consider making today a GREART mid-life day, because if you don’t, who will? Carpe diem, jeff 🙂
