So this has always been an issue.

i like not doing what everyone does.

The downside is that most don’t get it, and worse, most don’t like it.

The pressure to conform is why everyone does it.

So when i talk to organizations and leaders about taking risks, i believe it’s a great strategy to only preach what i practice.

Our mindset can be blind to the same questionable behaviors we easily identify in others…

This Mid Life Celebration post (about the chicken and pig commitment to breakfast) from two days ago prompted a brief conversation which included the following:

Eric: …I think bacon cooks better in the oven.

me: Probably…1 button and 3 minutes later…

Eric: …oh yes the instant gratification generation

me: Car vs horse, internet vs book, ovens vs fires, farming vs grocery store, Amazon vs main street…be careful in a glass house when you have a stone in your hand. 😁

You are being unjust and denying it everyday.

Much less pressing than civil rights, it’s an appalling personal injustice that matters now.

The gross negligence and personal disrespect we have for our overall wellness is epic.

And no one is fighting for it, because the people in power (you and i) must sacrifice to get it.

Who would bite the hand that feeds them pleasure, comfort, entertainment, ease?

Hardly anyone.
