Would Your Life Change?

Drink up me hearties, yo ho

Just snapped this in our subdivision, roughly 7:15AM; blogging on an iPhone while walking to the gym.

Drink up.

To the future.

We cannot guarantee or predict our future, however, we can heavily influence our future.

How important is our attitude in framing up our future?

You don’t owe me, or anyone else, an answer to that question, but you do owe yourself the answer.

Cheers.

PS. Today’s post title is inspired by the awareness 60 days in advance that December 30, 2001 was the last day i drank alcohol – drink up me hearties, yo ho!

Nothing changes

Before it fades (see it in photo?) caught my attention yesterday in Philadelphia.
There was a lot to look at and we surely missed countless, meaningful details.

Nothing changes when nothing changes.

Knowing and not doing is the same as not knowing.

Adults do not have the luxury of living not knowing.

Playing around with a new “next” and a one to three year deadline.

What if you tried this?

Orlando road construction yesterday morning. We saw a special Disney Institute colleague. He’s receiving hospice support.

This morning i tried something the instant i awoke.

Slide out of bed to place knees on the floor, and with hands folded, said the three morning prayers.

What’s different about this morning is that i didn’t walk over to our Son’s room to do this at the foot of his bed.

This ritual in our Son’s room has been practiced for nearly 19 years, and today marks the start of the transition while our Son still lives at home.

Perhaps doing it this way for six more weeks will help transition to becoming an empty nester.

Habit check

Who’s to say what cheese grates can be used for? These are ceiling lamps hanging in our neighborhood restaurant, Toasted.

Are my current habits going to drive me to where i envision my future?

Happy Independence day

Windermere Prep High school
Arrived early yesterday for High School Senior walkout day.

Good, balanced choices offer stability and advantage.

Stability is gained by spending less time recovering from bad choices. This allows more time to make good choices and gain momentum and confidence.

You can capitalize on good choices as you can capitalize on good financial investments.

Good choices contain the magic of compound interest. The cumulative effect from small and consistent good choices pays huge dividends long-term.

Live for today, plan for tomorrow.
