To be sure, our choice is habitual

Change is in the air. Good change.

Criminal was my lifelong, general lack of intentionality in consciously and thoughtfully making wise, habitual choices.

Enter midlife…

Midlife presents us with two striking choices.

Life altering choices:

  1. Fear and doubt
  2. Courage and faith

Astonishing how fundamental these two choices are.

Criminal is our general lack of intentionality in consciously and thoughtfully making wise, habitual choices.

To be sure, our choice is habitual.

Turning my midlife crisis into a midlife celebration was the small change that changed everything.

After 30 years, there are still “firsts” to be claimed.

Three firsts on the first day of retirement.

  1. Visited all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day.
  2. Ate at Yak & Yeti
  3. Ate at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

Even found time to show a 14-year old the Napa room where his Dad’s retirement party will be in a few weeks.

What we signed up for wasn’t what we signed up for

Think
Think for decades, then spend time rethinking

It all comes down to our attitude.

Doesn’t it?

We get what we sign up for.

Roughly 40-50 working years.

What we didn’t realize when we were younger was that what we signed up for wasn’t what we signed up for.

Mid Life Celebration ruptures the notion that balance and thriving are myths.

This is your life, your midlife celebration (go!)

Quote from AARP article
Do we need an expert to tell us or is it utterly intuitive?

Our life doesn’t fully come alive until we remove our fear of living. It’s not death that we fear, it’s living.

Think about it.

We actually know this to be true.

Yet pretend we don’t.

Things will never be the same until we are deeply compelled to rethink (everything), reprioritize (what’s important), and recommit (like a warrior).

No regrets for taking so long. Only joy in beginning. Again.

This is a game changer.

It’s our move.
