It All Goes By So Fast

What If We Felt This Way About Our Life?
What If We Felt This Way About Our Life?

Time marches on.

We ignore this out of fear.

We fear it it because it’s unknown.

It’s unknown because we don’t explore it, don’t study it.

Because we are ignorant, we remain fearful.

And because we’re afraid, we set no lofty goals.  No plans to do great work that makes a difference in our world.

It’s like washing our hair.

Lather.  Rinse.  Repeat.

Like going through the motions.

Then we die.

It all goes by so fast.

  1. “Time marches on” is a great way of looking at things in our lives, and provides us with a unique perspective on big picture areas. As we always say Jeff, it’s difficult to see the big picture in life when we’re still in the frame.

In similar thought I have always enjoyed this quote:
“If you are thinking a year ahead, sow a seed.
If you are thinking ten years ahead, plant a tree.”
    Chinese poet, 500 BC.

Thanks for providing such reflective and thought provoking daily inspiration. Have a nice weekend!

  2. Michael, love the quote and thank you for sharing it.
    Also appreciate your kind words.
You can not try to help others without helping yourself in the process.
Does that make me subconsciously selfish? 🙂
And than you also for visiting here.
I know you have many choices. We all do.
And how we harness time is one of the big ones.
