Three things being overwhelmed can teach us:
- expect the unexpected (at any moment, and especially when we can least afford it)
- keep things simple so when they get complicated, they are less complicated
- maybe the best we can hope for is to be barely on the other (good) side of insanity
Building a strong foundation by midlife probably didn’t happen for most of us. Building now is totally within our realm now because we know we need it and no one else will do it for us.

Jeff,
I am hearing you loud and clear! 🙂 I am dealing a lot right now with some unexpected things, making me feel a bit overwhelmed. I can either fight the unexpected changes, and, thus, make my life more complicated, frustrated, and overwhelmed (like trying to walk against the crashing waves of an ocean), or I can not react to the unexpected changes (like going with the waves and riding them).
I know – easier said than done, but I am praying and trying. Stressful enough, regardless of my reaction, but my reaction could help or make it harder.

Bob, am right there with you. You’re interpretation and hopeful plan of action is exactly the karma intended.
Wishing us both (and probably everyone else in the world too) the determination and patience to keep moving forward with positive energy.
Absolutely, Jeff! Thanks for the words of encouragement, and know I am praying for you the same!
Bob, right back at cha.
Just back yesterday from eight-day, there city trip.
