Disney Keynote Speaker Vision:

Vision:

Inspiration:

Assumptions:

  • “There’s a burning story to tell on film. And if you don’t get physically ill seeing your first rough cut, something’s wrong.”  – Martin Scorsese

  • Introduce a Speaker Video like no one has ever seen.
  • Intriguing, unexpected, different, funny, fun, insightful, stunning videography, perfect script.
  • Set in Orlando, jeff’s home, Walt Disney World, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Orlando International Airport.
  • Aim isn’t to be the best video in the category (speaker videos), but to become the category (Radical Speaker videos).
  • You don’t hire great people and then tell them what to do. If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough.

Values:

  • Honesty
  • Behave Admirably
  • Personal Responsibility
  • Self-Control
  • Fun
  • Initiative

Deliverables:

Are humans genetically wired to help others?

Disney Institute Keynote Speakers
Today’s photos are from years ago. This one is a Disney Institute classroom table.

Are humans genetically wired to help others?

Yes.

Now…

Imagine being 17 in today’s world versus the decade you were 17.

Can you imagine over-exposure to bullying, human massacres in schools, nuclear threats, fake news, deep division, name-calling, and blaming?

Are humans genetically wired to help others?

Easy to imagine teens being troubled.

So add one more thing to your to-do list.

Be a bright light in a dark world.

#Intentionality

#Intentionality

The biggest “behind-the-scenes” take-away from my 30 years at Disney is this:

Our success comes from over-focusing on the same things others under-focus on or ignore.

Over-focus on your positive attitude.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

The secret of life is to take your time, but hurry up.

Don’t rush through life, but don’t live like you have forever.

Don’t let your blind ambition erase your intuition.

Intuition tells us life is riddled with regret, mostly because we never see it coming.

Wondering how many 80 and 90 year olds would have changed course in their 40’s, 50’s, or 60’s had they known then what they know now.

Made the decision to turn off the beaten path

Yesterday about 6:30am.

Just the two of us until about 7am. Rick is a golfer.

And then there were three. Dave, right, is a hiker.

Nature saves the best for what a camera can’t capture…all our senses.

Only three guys (of 13) didn’t go golfing yesterday (second consecutive golf day): me, Dave, and Carl.

We are seen as, “They don’t like to golf”.

Everyone is cool with it, although the golfers wish every brother golfed.

And the three of us were wishing the golfers were hikers and explorers.
