The journey is such a beautiful experience

Wake up, get dressed, go to work. Come home. Yada yada. For what?

Tricky isn’t it? Our goal feels like a destination. We’re headed someplace.

But the destination is not the goal.

Unless the destination is right here, right now, what’s in front of us.

Today.

Tempting to think we have to get somewhere, someplace far away. When in reality, we are constantly somewhere.

It is in the joy of the moment that joy is achieved.

Not at some final destination. But the current location.

Today.

We forget this. Then we remember. Then forget. Then remember. But mostly forget, until we no longer remember.

Don’t.

The gifts we receive from life seem to be disguised and unheralded. Do something everyday for years and you will probably not be the best in the world, but you will most likely have developed a world-class habit of focus and discipline.

These unsolicited gifts seem disproportionately better than our original goal.
