The journey is the goal, not the destination

The journey is such a beautiful experience

Wake up, get dressed, go to work. Come home. Yada yada. For what?

Tricky isn’t it? Our goal feels like a destination. We’re headed someplace.

But the destination is not the goal.

Unless the destination is right here, right now, what’s in front of us.

Tempting to think we have to get somewhere, someplace far away. When in reality, we are constantly somewhere.

It is in the joy of the moment that joy is achieved.

Not at some final destination. But the current location.

We forget this. Then we remember. Then forget. Then remember. But mostly forget, until we no longer remember.
