More like 4 decades

More like 4 decades, even though it’s 36 years officially (today).

Spring 1979, Ramsey Hall at West Chester State College (30 minutes west of Philadelphia).

In Ellie’s Residence Hall apartment, you and Ellie interviewed me for the Resident Advisor (RA) position vacated by the returning, but recently fired, RA partner you were supposed to have.

The beach is a passive location

Sanibel Island beach tents

The beach is a passive location.

Especially during Florida Summers.

This is different than normal daily living at home.

Would moving the beach visit from Summer to Winter make for an active location?

Note: The Summer heat and sun are too intense to be engaging in outdoor activities between 10 AM and 6 PM. In Winter this is no longer an issue.

The shelling capital of the world

Arrival 6:30pm yesterday.

The shelling capital off the world is the main marketing message Sanibel Island uses.

Is it true?

Does it matter?

Don’t know the answer to either question.

We didn’t initially visit because of the marketing message. We visited because in 1989, Disney’s Donald’s Deals (Cast discounts) had an offer at the West Wind Inn which came highly recommended by a colleague.

The rest as they say is history.

The symptoms of thinking

We are trading Glacier Lillies for Beach Sunflowers this afternoon.

Writing is a symptom of thinking.

As you thinketh, so you can writeth.

But you must write.

That’s the catch.

Writing helps your thinking and thinking helps your writing.

Common sense, right?

Common practice, no?

And so it goes.

It’s always your turn to choose daily writing or no daily writing.

How we think determines how (and when) we write.

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy New Day are synonymous

Beach themed christmas cards
Yesterday we arrived for few days at the beach.

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy New Day are synonymous.

What?

Yes.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

When each new day is seen as an opportunity to count your blessings, then you are able to enjoy today as you would that one hyped-up American day of the year – Thanksgiving Day.
