Think like you mean it

Mid Life Celebration keynote speaker
There are a million+ excuses why i haven’t begun writing the first of seven Disney books.

The Internet is full of excuses, although it’s unlikely any of us would need help creating a long list.

Excuses will remain until we confess our undeniable purpose in life.

And if we don’t know what that is, we need to find out.

Live like you mean it.

Note: As an adult, we don’t need to do anything we don’t want to. Dangerous to have so much power over our thoughts. Things changed for me when i saw the trap i created by thinking like that. Nearing my 40th birthday (1999) i began .thinking .differently

Counting down 3, 2, 1

Counting down 3, 2, 1…

Today, tomorrow, and then my 57th birthday.

Three days from now the decade-long journey becomes more real.

Odds are decent i’ll live past 60, but it’s not a 100% guarantee.

This is why i boldly declared committed to pursuing a 10-year dream to do everything in life i want to do, as if turning 60 was my last day on earth.

In three days, there are only three years remaining.

What would you do if money where no object?

(this is what a post would look and feel like without a photo)

If money was no object…

i’d start every day praying, reading, reflecting, writing.

And as i did those things, i’d wait patiently and joyfully for the sun to rise each morning.

i’d walk away from things and people that, intuitively, didn’t feel right.

Wait.

i’m already doing those things.

Over to you, if money was no object…

It’s dangerous to confuse the two

morning love note
First thing awaiting me downstairs yesterday morning. Rec’d mug last night at conference welcome dinner.

Don’t confuse your gift with your passion.

Disney is my passion.

Teaching is my gift.

Although i hated to leave Disney after 30 incredible years, it was the right thing to do.

Ps. 100 days later, today, May 12, i’ve had to re-read this post several times and i’m still struggling to understand my conviction when i wrote it.

How do we live a lifetime with meaningful purpose?

Disney Inspirational Speakers

When will we know when it’s time to let go? Specifically, for every human being, is there ever a time in life when we can let go of the life-sustaining power of a having meaningful purpose in our life?

Spending the last five days of 2015 living in a senior housing facility with an almost 93-year old with daily visits to the adjoining nursing home to visit an almost 90-year old.

They have nearly 40 years more experience than me. They know things i may never know.

How can i tap into this in a positive way?

What if my questions cause them to think about regret rather than joy?
