The need to grow, mind

Flight map from USA to Australia
Growth mindset implores you to prioritize your priorities. Our priorities after safety? Service. Service to God, Family, self. Then finally, simplicity.

The need to grow is an important concept. It’s a simple concept too.

Stumbled upon a poster while a college Junior featuring a Bob Dylan quote. It’s timely for this post:

He who is not busy being born is busy dying.

Perhaps my biggest mental growth is honing my focus and discipline to be able to steer my thoughts to stay in the present moment.

Favorite thought? Mind

Bottom of this photo you can see yesterday’s blog title “Haves and wants”. Every other day above that line is pre-loaded with blog post title ideas. And what you see below is what an admin dashboard looks like normally. Actually what is below is not normal. Most don’t plan to blog daily, so they also don’t plan to pre-schedule the admin parts of their unwritten posts.

Pictured here is Lane 8’s admin screen. You can see at the bottom of this photo, yesterday’s post “Haves and wants”. But i have not yet loaded the post title(s) from Mid Life Celebration for today or any other day.

Favorite thought?

Wow, that’s a challenging question.

This thought came almost instantly, after a brief moment of ‘this will be impossible’…

The only limitations i have are those i impose upon myself.

Note: Penned that thought in 1980 while journaling during a week-long Outward Bound outdoor experiential course.

Simple mental habits

The growth mindset daily habit of noticing.

The easier a mental habit is to do, the more likely it will last a lifetime. Good habits and not-so-good habits. Obviously, pick the best habits. Minimum effort, maximum results.

Massively productive mental habit is discerning good from not-so-good.

Happy present moment.

Happy New Day.

What is you ROL?

More specifically, what is your mental ROL?

Today’s other four posts, like this one, are themed to the powerful question of the day:

What is your Return on Leadership?

Is your over-focused, intentional investment in your growth mindset providing the excellent mental leadership returns you originally envisioned?

Home for treatment

airport parking garage elevator reminder
Have used Lyft and Uber for years versus parking at Orlando International Airport (OIA) when traveling. Before Lyft and Uber, always parked car at OIA parking garage when traveling for Disney Institute.

Home for treatment.

Timing made it easier for me to park and walk to baggage claim than to wait for them to meet me outside at arriving flights.

A photo (above) of the parking level is always easy and potentially helpful.

Consistently using small, simple, easy, scalable processes is a mindset.

Most patients at the Infusion Center have cancer. Most people don’t know today (May 19) is World IBD Day. Inflamatory Bowel Disease has no cure. IBD is not terminal, yet prolonged, untreated inflamation increases the odds for colon cancer by 30x. Last time anyone checked, colon cancer is fierce.
