Forget about what and how.
An attitude of “why” is essential.
My career as a Disney Institute professional speaker taught me the most important difference between presenting information and facilitating learning.
If i tell you, you will never remember. If i help you discover it for yourself, you will never forget.
People get so focused on what Disney does and how they do it. This approach is destined for failure. Why? Because you are not Disney.
But once you understand why Disney does things the way they do, you will find your own way to do the what and the how – because your “why” is the same as Disney’s.

This post is powerful.
Thanks Donna. This stuff comes to me while teaching.
i read or hear audience feedback and really focus hard on the meaning behind the meaning.
Then i experiment with ways to improve.
My final year at DI, my goal was to not use the word “Disney”.
Instead i used words like, “world class organizations”, “we”, “my organization”, etc.
