We prayfully do our best and “allow” God to take care of the rest.
Do our best, until death do us part.
Jeff,
Your words are taking me back 20+ years ago. I remember in chapel in college a speaker talking about life being from point A to point B. Point A is birth and point B is death, and life is the journey between the two. He then took it from an mathematical perspective – life is like a continuous function (keeps going), not a single point or a step function (leaving gaps). His whole point to make is that we are on this continuous journey – our actions aren’t meant to be terminal in nature. Once we have done a task, we aren’t done with ever doing another task. Likewise, just because we have reached a milestone, like a college degree, doesn’t mean we are done learning. His last point was deeper theologically – once we ask Jesus in our hearts, it doesn’t mean we are done having to live the life of a Christian. It isn’t a check-off on our list of things to do…it is a forever journey until we meet Him.
Thanks for allowing me to relive that memory!

Bob, great story. Thank you for sharing it. It adds credence to the concept of continuously growing – in everything.
