Habitual hope, mind

Hope is a great strategy but a poor tactic.

i “hope” to watch many sunsets.

But hope doesn’t create the daily habit to have watching today’s sunset on my mind.

Goals and hope are synonymous.

So using this synonym, having a goal is a great strategy, but a poor tactic.

Going to the gym is a great strategy to increase my fitness, but useless without tactical habits: scheduling the gym, traveling to the gym, and spending time in the gym doing the reps. Week after week. Year after year.

Watching daily sunsets is a great goal (strategy), but useless without scheduling the time, taking my seat, and waiting patiently.

There have been years in my life of never watching sunsets. And years where i catch some of them.

Never is the enemy of sometimes.

However the pinnacle tactic is to watch ‘all’ of them.

Also, i’ve had years where i see nearly all of them.

Remember, to make habits, hope doesn’t do it, the tactical reps do.

Sometimes is the enemy of always.

Always is the best tactic for habitual hope.
