Boomers, Stay With jeff noel On This (Disney) Train Of Thought

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Walt Disney World

In the three years since jeff noel began blogging at Mid Life Celebration, he’s written virtually nothing about his long career. This has been by design. noel has waited patiently for social media to become not only widely accepted (like microwave ovens and cell phones) and professionally accepted as a social norm, but also accepted as the new context for the way the world communicates thoughts and ideas.

PS. Long ago, noel posted notices, disclaimers, etc, that every one of his websites and blogs are strictly his personal opinion. This continues to be his standard.

  1. Jeff,

On a positive note, though, I dare say that your corporate identity wouldn’t run counter to the personal identity conveyed on your blogs. And that’s a good thing – you don’t feel obligated to act one way for your work and one way in your personal life.

Speaking of your work environment, we are heading south for some magic of our own later this week. It will really make the research paper my older son, Zachary, just finished more realistic. He had to pick a person who has had great influence and tell how. Students in the class picked past presidents, war heroes, civil and religious rights leaders, etc. He picked Walt Disney with the underlying idea that he was (and still is) the great influencer of dreams! He even got a quote from the Disney Institute website! πŸ™‚

I thought you would appreciate it.

  2. Hey there Bob, Bet you guys are excited for your trip. How cool your son picked Walt Disney. Walt’s also a hero for me…life changing you could say.

It’s no secret where I work. None. Zero. Google sees to it. I’ve just chosen to travel a quiet path that doesn’t need to say it, even though it would be so much fun. πŸ™‚

  3. Jeff,

We are very excited. This has probably been one of my busiest years in a long time at work with travel, etc., and a non-working vacation is something we can all appreciate. We are ready for the excape!

Who knows – maybe one day WDW may ask you (if they haven’t already) to also do some blogging for them about them!

  4. jeff,

Is it okay if we say something about it? Tomorrow is a special day and I want to put it into words. πŸ™‚

  5. David, please do what’s in your heart. As an over-achiever. I’d just like to follow social media protocol better than its written. πŸ™‚

For 3 years I’ve done this admirably. Someday my Son may ask why so long and I’ll tell him I had to wait for others to catch up.

And yes, I’d like for him to have that as part of the trail – seeing his Dad talk about what he loves to do and has done for 28 years
