Tell me again the fearful part of living

there are two ways to live life…two paths to follow…as if nothing’s a miracle or everything is.

The fearful part of living? Is there one? I believe there is. An insidious, unrelenting, invisible fear – so much so that our attitude becomes numb to it’s existence and possibilities.

Have you ever admitted this to yourself, that it’s perhaps life’s greatest danger? The fear of living.

Ok, so yeah, I fear death. But not nearly as much as I used to. It takes decades of honing a positive, optimistic midlife attitude to push through, and ultimately past, the fear of death. But there’s an ever more oppressive fear I’m learning to overcome… The fear of not living.

Can the best summer (ever) and death go together? It depends, right? Youth should be exempt from death. The rest of us? Not so much. Making it incumbent on us to live purposefully.

Is it possible to live in the moment, as if tomorrow may not come? To basically not put off until tomorrow that which can be done today.
