Hold on, mind

If you could have a beer with one person from history, who would you pick and why?

Hold on, i could have a beer with Jesus?

Listen and watch here.

Visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios today. Family and friends stayed and i returned home around 4 PM.

Just a few minutes from home had this genius idea for today’s blog post titles, and when i got home, was spontaneously distracted with some things that needed to be done around the house.

Next thing i know i can’t remember my genius idea.

So…

This post is what happens when that happens.

Lifetime Disney Passes, mind

Two adults and Mickey Mouse at Magic Kingdom
Handful of years ago, Cheryl’s 35th Disney Years of Service Award celebration at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Theme Park.

My attitude 45 years ago led me (and Cheryl) to believe that we could earn free, lifetime Disney Passes.

The math is the math, mind

Bicycle honeymoon trip
Bicycle honeymoon trip, 1984. Victoria, British Columbia’s capital on the left skyline.

My math equations sometimes need deeper and broader thinking than surface-level, typical thinking.

For example in yesterday’s math equation regarding possibly speaking on Vancouver Island in October…

The usual decision making criteria:

Date, location, fee, client.

Got Lake McDonald Lodge?

Woman in a national Park Café
Lake McDonald Lodge season opening last year.

It is wildly beautiful to be alive.

Sure, everyone is either going through a hell no one knows about, just came out of a hell no one knew about, or unbeknownst to them is ready to go through a hell no one will know about.

Some of us, including me, may be going through more than one of these three things right now.

Reprise: Random photo day, mind

Whether you’re seven, or a high schooler, midlife never crosses your mind.

Whether you’re seven, or a high schooler, midlife never crosses your mind.

i wrote this thought about 20 years ago in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania.

Safe to say that my Mid Life Celebration is (and has been) morphing into a ‘later-life celebration’.

Lovin’ it!

Cheryl’s same-age cousin Michael, from Pennsylvania like me and Cheryl, flew home two days ago after a week with us.

And tomorrow we have a dear North-Florida family staying with us for a three-day weekend.

The past 90 days have been a whirlwind.

The ‘winds of change’.

Lovin’ it.
