Mental structure

Mental structure.

Structure to me is the mental framework you create to allow your mental process, namely thinking, to work.

Structure is built on:

  • Goals
  • Values
  • Beliefs

Starting year 18, mind

When you change what you see, what you see changes.

Now that i’m no longer working, on a fixed income, and enamored with this new reality…

i see things differently.

Remarkably more differently than pre-retirement.

It’s as if the dawn of new thoughts is heading my way.

i can feel it.

It feels great.

18th year eve, mind

Last day mindset: live like you won’t see tomorrow.

One less day mindset: live like tomorrow isn’t one more day to do things, live like today is one less day to do things.

If tomorrow never comes mindset: do the ones you love know at least every 24 hours how much you love them?

Pause.

Deep breath.

One more important thought, in question form…

If all i get today is what i was thankful for yesterday mindset, would it be enough today?

For me, i believe it’s, “yes”.

Why?

Because i think about this every day, all day…

If i wrote at the top of a sheet of paper or a digital screen, “i am grateful for:”

i literally would never be able to stop writing or typing (or dictating).

Finally, for this post, on the eve of starting “daily-blogging year 18”, at the tip of my gratitude iceberg, i am grateful for GoDaddy, WordPress, Apple, electricity, home Internet, connectivity, and desire to continue writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts. Just these seven categories is enough to write literally infinite lists for each of the seven. Didn’t even get to eye-sight, fingers, roof over my head, safe community with paved roads, clean sheets and pillow cases, and my best friend by my side.

Your Temple’s purpose, mind

Your body is the temple housing everything keeping you alive.

Your temple houses your brain up in the attic.

Your brain is growth-mindset’s Mission Control.

Your thinking’s purpose is to facilitate the lifetime of ideas and lifetime-attitude you’ll need to achieve mental vibrancy.

Motivation

Motivation.

This is the key to everything.

A simple question.

How bad do you want a growth mindset?
