In sharing the Disney Compass this morning to the office manager, it dawned on me…

When you not only know your customer but understand them, you tee up “surprise and delight”.

Surprise and delight is the bull’s-eye for creating “wow“!

Anyone can create it for anyone.

Why the customer service world hasn’t embedded this as a non-negotiable is beyond my comprehension.

Apple Watch message from Apple — Never owned a new car. Not to save money although you do. And yet i’m always wanting THE most excellent work tool. Not trying to spend frivolously although it may seem so. Ps. The green medical bracelet comes off in mid-November.

Know what indulgence you can justify.

Disney’s Golden Oak property — 4th car back from security guard.

Every day is Super Bowl Sunday at Disney. Transfer that to your attitude and see what happens.

It was weird driving to Disney’s Golden Oak today.

Why?

Because i prefer to bicycle there.

But on the two-week anniversary of eye surgery #2, Doc still wants me to be a couch potato. So i drove this morning.

16-second video: Last night. A glorious, soaking rain. Standing water remained this morning. When the ground is saturated tree roots are thoroughly watered.

Rain is good. Except when you have an outdoor picnic without cover.

Started today thinking about how lucky i am to be a citizen.

Confident the international media frequently paints us as buffoons to other countries.

All i’m saying is if it looks like a circus, sounds like a circus, and smells like a circus…it’s probably a circus.

Personally, i sure could use a break. For like…forever.

My growth mindset tells me a kinder, quieter, gentler world is in the future.

i cannot change the world but i can change my world.
