Dancing with our thoughts

vintage Led Zeppelin Concert poster
Jason Bonham died 1980. Led Zeppelin never recorded nor toured again. Except for one October day in 2007.

Dancing with our thoughts means what?

It means dancing with possibility, opportunity, goodness.

It means telling negative thoughts to take a hike.

It means to always tell negative thoughts to take a hike.

Always.

Dance with consistency.

Over-scheduled 101

frozen water in birdbath
First Orlando freeze in four years. Birds will have to wait before bathing today.

Be under-scheduled.

Why?

Because, the opposite.

There’s no perfect balance. Name all the people you know who have a perfectly balanced calendar.

See the obvious now?

The goal is to have margin.

Margin is blank, uncommitted space.

Lots of it.

Life besides Led Zeppelin

Dan Fogelberg Souvenirs album
Second fav album all time. First had it on 8-track tape, 1974.

Part of the Plan spent a little time on Pop radio. The song spoke to a Junior High School ninth-grader who’s first kiss, with an eighth-grader, had him fascinated by this once-in-a-lifetime milestone.

Some lyrics…

I had a woman who gave me her soul, but I wasn’t ready to take it. Her heart was so fragile and heavy to hold, and I was afraid I might break it. Your conscious awakes and you see your mistakes and you wish someone would buy you confessions…

And it says to you
Love when you can
Cry when you have to
Be who you must
That’s a part of the plan
Await your arrival
With simple survival and
One day, we’ll all understand
One day, we’ll all understand
One day, we’ll all understand

So here we are, 2022.

Cryptic DNA

Led Zeppelin vinyl album
Side one. All-time favorite album, any genre.

Cryptic DNA built Led Zeppelin.

Perhaps that’s what created the attraction to Led Zeppelin.

Or, the fact it was the first album ever owned.

Or maybe, was Cryptic attracted to me?

Doesn’t matter, because…i immediately became attracted to cryptic.

When the needle dropped on the album pictured above and Black Dog began to play….

As if that wasn’t enough, after a few seconds silence, then Rock and Roll starts…

Another 14-year old mind forever changed by the right music at the right time.

Happy present moment.

Indeed.

No Quarter, UnLedded

Led Zeppelin CD back cover
Led Zeppelin – No Quarter: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant Unledded, 1994.

Ambition, action, and impact.

Personal vibrancy aligns the three into one.

Surviving keeps the three from ever becoming a family.
