Second day text-less posts

Disney Institute speaker Jeff noel
Amway Center, the Orlando indoor event venue and home of the Orlando Magic NBA Team. Monica, a Disney Institute colleague and i spoke from center court to roughly 500 part-time event staff.

This is day two with text-less posts. This post has text simply because it’s the first of the five daily, differently-themed blogs/websites. The text you’re reading now is on this post to help see the transition from 25,000 posts with text to posts with just a photo (and probably a caption). Overall, it feels comfortable, yet weird. Comfortable because the idea is years old. Weird because i’m actually doing it.

Choices galore

Disney Keynote Speaker Jeff Noel
Our Church asked me to speak to the Men’s group. It was a paid keynote.

Choices galore.

Choices?

What to write about and what photos or videos to use.

Been (re)floating around the idea of photo-less posts.

Or, the opposite, just a photo, no ‘writtren’ text.

Not as a long-term change.

Just as a state change.

Why?

To see how it impacts the daily blogging process.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

So, beginning on the next post…gonna try text-less posts.

Just photos.

Will probably have photo captions but we shall see.

Breaking out the iPads for college road trip

Speaker setup
Two days ago at a local hospital executive TEDx Talk presentation. Wanted to post this photo yesterday but couldn’t.

Breaking out the iPads for college road trip.

Yesterday we had to move everything downstairs because we will be unable to use the stairs until we return.

We’ll shower outside this morning and tomorrow morning too, before ordering a Lyft.

But the big news is in Private mode i am able (today) to post current photos without the JSON error.

Yee-haw!

High resolution attitude?

jeff noel Disney speaker
This photo is 300ppi – that’s pixels per inch. That constitutes high resolution.

If 300 pixels per inch is considered high-resolution for a photo, what would we need as an individual human being to have our attitude qualify as high-resolution?

Clarity?

Diversity?

Balance?

Simplicity?

Behaviors?

Experience?

Bathed in love, generous, and very, very direct

Mid Life Celebration book in Las Vegas
Gambling on your understanding of the risk in telling you vs not

Dear friend, when we were younger, we made promises to ourselves. Remember them?

First the pressure to get ahead.

Then regrets.

But what about second chances?

A very real opportunity, but only possible if one person (and one person only) grants us permission.

The fear of hoping you’ll buy this book is less than the fear of not letting you know the book exists.

Written by a dad to a young boy in case something bad ever happens and the dad’s not around.

Bathed in love, generous, and very, very direct.

Everyone in America the World should have the opportunity to read it.

We will either be an example or a warning.

Our life is not a dress rehearsal.
