The ebb and flow of doors

Will pickup where we left off, beginning in three days. Photo: Piegan Pass, center.

The ebb and flow of doors.

One door closes, another opens.

This metaphor is easy to forget when a desirable door is closing.

If ever a test for our attitude, the proverbial door closing is the ultimate.

No TV for a month

Lion King is the Cabin owner’s favorite Disney movie. Cheryl just so happened to bring these without knowing.

No TV for a month.

You know what i missed the most from not watching any TV?

Nothing.

Note: Wasn’t trying to escape anything. Didn’t see the days adding up. There’s a peace that settles in when i’m not preoccupied by “urgent” news.

Self-reflection

Try explaining it without words

Surreal beauty.
Exquisite.
Mt. Reynolds.
Small, almost hidden flower.
This flower is made up of dozens of small flowers.
Easy to walk by and not look closely. Nature has organized itself well.

Fireweed and a “hidden” fly.

Finished where we started.
Five hours and 1:18 PM. Done as the hottest part of the day begins.

Do this every day for starters

Lake McDonald.
Early morning at the Apgar marina by the foot of Lake McDonald.

Lake McDonald is low.

In June the water is up to the second step.

Do this every day for starters.

What?

Reflect on the stunning news that you are alive, your eyes opened and you can see.

Reflect on what you learned yesterday, what you get to do today, and reflect on what you hope for tomorrow.

Now, go on about your day filled with positivity.
