GNP Day 59, mentally

20-second video: A final back deck look.
Couple posing by cabin door
We’re going to Disney World!!!

Wow, it’s time to go back to my favorite (and second favorite) place in the entire world…

Our back porch (and front porch).

How’d i get to discover these incredible places?

Honing a growth mindset.

How?

Eradicate…

  1. Complaining
  2. Criticizing
  3. Excuses
  4. Gossiping
  5. Negativity

i’m going to Disney World.

GNP Day 58, mentally

Mountain in the clouds
Mountain weather is unpredictable.

First, happy 51st birthday Walt Disney World.

Second, day 58 in Glacier for 2022.

Third, starting today, Going-to-the-Sun Road is closed on the West side. Our (East) side stays open to Logan Pass until October 16. We leave tomorrow, October 2.

Fourth, heading to Oberlin saddle this morning. Not gonna lie, in the back of my mind, this would be a great opportunity to get Cheryl to a summit.

GNP Day 57, mentally

Trail description
Out the cabin door at 7:30 AM.
23-second video: A moment in time just 10 minutes after leaving our cabin. On our way to Siyeh Bend.

Siyeh Pass today. Leaving cabin in 30 minutes.

Hard to believe we fly home in 56 hours.

Several significant changes to this Summer’s eight-week GNP experience.

  1. Three weeks of family and friends joining us
  2. Cheryl out for five weeks
  3. Hurricane Ian
  4. GoDaddy malfunctions

Will work diligently to capture key growth-insights from the opportunities and challenges.

Olympic-level insight: Every situation, properly perceived, is an opportunity.

Hurricane tracking graph
Awoke at 2:40 AM Mountain Time (4:40 AM at home). Definitely south of Orlando.

Relieved in the middle of the night. See photo above.

In addition to Ian being comfortably south of our home, i verified our home has power.

As a digital advocate, i have multiple ways to confirm things as if i was walking through and around our home.

This is a remarkable way to start the day.

Call Log
Four calls yesterday.
Hurricane forecast graph
Still on track to go directly over our home.

Each morning starts with two important, and unwanted, focuses:

  1. Hurricane Ian update
  2. GoDaddy update

And for the first time in a week, the morning is relaxed. A break from hiking.

Why?

We drive six hours roundtrip to take the Graysons to the airport.

We are driving through Glacier one last time for them.
