Depends on a few things, the most important being the Going-to-the-Sun Road snow plow progress.

This far out the snow plows are still parked.

It’s a fun and curious process to watch it unfold the past few years.

The goal is bicycle Sun Road to Logan Pass before the road opens to vehicular traffic.

In June, snow prohibits vehicular access to Logan Pass. This also means most of the high-elevation trails are closed too. Snow plows usually get Going-to-the-Sun Road opened between mid-June and early July.

By September, it’s “Welcome, come on in. Make yourself at home.” The first snow will be here any day now.
