Mid Life Sabbatical?

Mid Life sabbatical? Who needs one? Who has had one? Who’s ever had one handed to them as a midlife gift?

Dictionary.com says a Sabbatical is any extended period of leave from one’s customary work, especially for rest to acquire new skills or training, etc.

Sometimes though, when traveling down an unfamiliar road, expectations from those granting and those being granted, can be confusing at the same time they’re giving you butterflies.

  1. This is one of my all time favorite quotes. It reminds me that no matter what I am called to do in this life, I should give it my best.

“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.” MLK
