In what ways do one or two events or experiences in your son’s development seem especially significant?
Publishing his first book as a High School Sophomore. Learning how to storyboard, organize, decide, and ship a book are skills many adults only dream of. His confidence grew exponentially.
Becoming a Shot Putter on the Track team. His dad forced him to do something with a group of people five days a week after school. So he wouldn’t have to run, he picked the shot put. The Track coach convinced him (a miracle) to join the Cross Country Team in the Fall. He had more reasons to quit than another other teammate but never did.
Bonus: Attending a Montessori School for a decade before High School. He learned to think for himself to solve complex and interesting challenges.
