One second a day app

Disney Innovation Speakers
Yesterday while biking to Magic Kingdom. Note date and time in upper right.

Was reminded yesterday of the One-Second-A-Day app.

Had downloaded it a couple weeks ago.

Forgot about it and kinda forgot yesterday was January 1.

Got out of bed and took the first one-second video.

We are creatures of habit and there’s a decent chance i will struggle to remember to do this every day.

Anything that’s new and different from our habits and rituals is always at risk of failing.

Even good and fun things that don’t take long.

Imagine the odds when it’s painful (changing a habit) and not fun (because it’s painful) and takes what seems like forever.

Update (today, March 2): It lasted two days and haven’t done it since January 3. Why? Guessing because it wasn’t that important.

Leaning into discomfort is the only way

TED Talk
Last night’s TED Talk lesson.

Leaning into discomfort is the only way.

The only way to what?

The only way to a meaningful life.

No video here but two are coming to you today

Avianca Orlando to South America
First time flying Avianca.

No video here but two are coming to you today.

Meanwhile, made the first trip to Columbia yesterday.

First trip to South America was a few weeks ago to Chile.

Firsts are good, sometimes bumpy, and always a stretch of the person you were before it happened.

Last night.

Family at a charity cancer walk downtown Orlando’s iconic Lake Eola.

On my own starting at 4pm.

A bicycle trip to Disney’s Magic Kingdom seemed like a nice idea.

Why?

Because it’s so close.

And i needed a couple Disney hats for Sunday’s trip to South America.
