i still remember when a 3-day weekend felt like a gift from God.

Most don’t know (and no one cares, why would they), that my entire 30-year Disney career never had weekends off.

There were weekends when i was off. But i never had weekends guaranteed off (like a banker or school teacher) so that i could make advanced weekend plans.

Never.

Am i bitter?

No.

Why?

Because i learned on day one at Disney University, in Disney Traditions, that “We work while others play”.
