No fight, respect

Disney, service, speaker
These two fought at the beginning. One of them insisted he was an official Space Ranger. The other applied their wisdom to the situation. It was a happy ending, in the end: mutual respect.

New Year.

New You.

Or is it same old, same old?

Creatures of habit.

What one person sees as dynamic tension between our different perspectives, another sees it as a disagreement that naturally leads to confrontational fighting.

i see an opportunity, an olive branch if you will.

Another sees hurtful conflict and a wall.

We see what we want to see.

We think what we want to think.

Our years of experience shape our thinking.

Growth-mindset is generally a former closed-minded person who got tired of the conflicts, walls, ‘fighting’.

Closed-mindset habitually only sees the negative, the personal, the confrontation.

Calm, level-headed conversation from a foundation of love, patience, and kindness is how the most mature communities demonstrate respect amongst the neighbors.

Reminder: What you do thunders so loudly i can’t hear what you say.

Peace is every step

tax advice from AI
Turns out the standard deduction for married filing jointly, over-65, is $34,700. Nice.

Woke up this morning with a few ‘big’ things on my mind.

  1. Tax return prep
  2. Left calf pain
  3. The MRI in four hours

Taking care of these facilitates peace.

Each day there are new things on the list as well as some previous things that carry over each day until solved.

Fire and Ash, mind

Hollywood sign

Today is a short set of posts as we spent our day before and during our 2:30 PM Disney Springs AMC Theater reservation.

By the way, today is a Monday. (this will publish on a Thursday)

Firstly, this started a couple days ago when asking Cheryl if she’d like to go see the newest Avatar movie. Our son saw it shortly after it debuted and he recommended it.

Cheryl booked a 2:30pm reservation.

Blogging world record, mind

World record blog posts from one author
Google shared a podcast with the blog post world record holder.

Back in the day. Added color to help distinguish each blog’s focus. 5 daily, differently-themed blogs.
Top Disney Management Conference speakers
Seriously, every single day before heading out the door, i write five different blogs on five different web sites.

To be considered for…

Guinness World Record holder for most blog posts by a single author…

Each of your posts must contain a 200-word minimum word count.

Overwhelmingly, i aim to write less than 200 words for the combined five daily, differently-themed blog posts.

That math averages to 40 words per blog post.

Only know this because in 2019 Jody Maberry had one of his assistants contact Guinness Book of World Records after i surpassed 18,000 posts.

Ps. Not counting this sentence, this post is 77 words, which is generally longer than i like to write.

Three-week countdown, mind

Cats In The Cradle. No wait, cat’s on my head.

Three-week countdown, mind…

Mentally, it’s literally impossible to comprehend the daily blogging effort that began so long ago.

The mental effort to stay engaged and motivated without missing a single day…

For over 6,200 consecutive days.

By the way it’s three weeks until year 17 ends and year 18 starts.

Do the math: 365 days x 17 years = 6,205.

Daily.

Writing.

Five differently-themed blog posts on five seperate websites.

Can remember it like it was almost 17 years ago.
