Mental thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving.

Decades ago, started contemplating the notion of making everyday thanksgiving.

And from that mental and spiritual exercise, the idea of ‘celebrating daily’ bled into a long list, with these headliners paving the way for literally everything:

  • Birthday
  • Christmas
  • Easter
  • Independence Day
  • Wedding Day

Pick any of the five, let’s use the first, birthday, in this example…

We have come to know the true meaning of our birthday when we learn to celebrate it every day.

That’s the spirit today’s posts are referencing for “Thanksgiving Day” today.

Mindful Hippie

Mindful Hippie.

Mindful: Focused, present, awareness.

Hippie: Unconventional. Peace. Love. Freedom. Individuality.

Guess this makes me, and others without long hair, a hippie.

How cool is that?

Rick said

Don’t mistake kindness for weakness. – Rick Long

Rick is a college fraternity brother. We are both born and raised Pennsylvanians.

He’s been a fellow Floridian for a decade plus.

He’s also a retired US Marshall.

He continues to work part-time in law enforcement circles.

To me the most unique duty he had was protecting the Country’s worst criminals from law-abiding citizens. Criminals so wicked, a good and decent citizen may be tempted to assassinate them.
