Waiting for the perfect time to get it together?

Conferences are also a great place to teach. “Ever thought about that?”, he said to himself.

“The important work of reshuffling our life’s priorities should not wait to be done until our conditions are perfect”, he also said to himself.

Sometimes our second choice is better than the official choice.

Will miss tonight’s performance, but didn’t miss yesterday’s final practice session.

Mid Life Celebration is about making the most out of the hand we are dealt.

Always.

Insight: Unknowingly, to be the only parent at the final rehearsal was inspiring to the students.

Same good and bad challenges 100 years apart?

Odds are great the vibe was the same extraordinarily high level of excitement in 1914, a century apart from today.

Not much changes in the human psyche. Why aren’t all our days extraordinary?

The vibe around homecoming is several levels higher than the karma around other fall weekends.

Why?

We all know why.

The bigger question is why do we not treat each weekend as this special?

Then convert this thinking to our daily living.

Asking why and why not is transformational.

When will the racing stop? Our days fly by in a flurry of activity and checklists.

Never seems to be enough time.

If only we had more time.

Someday things will slow down. Right?

All we have is time, yet we use it like it’s an inexhaustible resource.

But it isn’t.

And no amount of ignoring this fact buys a single day more.

What would compel us to have a sense of urgency for living like we mean it?

Probably nothing.

Today is just another ordinary day isn’t it?

inspirational quote about persistence

We miss people who leave earth too soon. We miss those who lived long and well too.

Today is just another ordinary day isn’t it?

Wake up. Race through the day attending to our busy lives.

And then scramble to organize a decent dinner together.

And so it goes.

Days turn into months and rather insidiously, years.

When is the right time to exit from the fast lane?
