Hitting the ground running

What is unseen is the single Mickey Mouse balloon on the back side of the cake. The extra inch because it was easy to do and had a wow-factor to those who noticed.
Go the extra inch is a phrase i operationalized (made into a cultural habit) at Disney Institute from 2011-2014.

One of the key Disney business insights is understanding what industry expectations are and then exceeding those expectations in a scalable fashion so as to develop a reputation that not only leads the category, but potentially becomes the category.

Most podcasts are done in the same Host studio week after week.

Going on location and being in person with your podcast host(ess) is not normal.

Not normal is a great place to start.

‘Twas the night before April Fools Day.

Today ends 11 consecutive years, 4,018 consecutive days, and 20,000+ blog posts.

Who are your super heroes?

What makes a person a hero?

Can anyone be a hero?

Just Google those questions and get this…

You are the hero of your own story.

How do i know?

i don’t, but you do.

Pretty cool, right?

Could blogging end in a month?

Could blogging end in a month?

The idea has been swimming around for about a year.

In less than 30 days i complete year 11 (eleven) of writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts, never missing a single day.

Remarkable.

But why?

It began as a 100-day self-imposed writer’s bootcamp so i could practice writing in order to write and publish my first book.

Miraculously reaching the 100-day goal, i decided to continue daily writing because of the way it helped me think clearly and differently.

One surprising milestone after another and here we are at the cusp of starting a 12th year.

9 years, 11 months, and 30 days so far

It’s been nine years, 11 months, and 30 days so far.

What?

Tomorrow, March 31, 2019, i finish a decade-long prolific blogging effort. On April Fools Day 2009, i started what was destined to fail: a 100-day, self-imposed writer’s boot camp to write five daily, differently-themed blog posts on five individual websites.

Not only did it not fail, but it hasn’t stopped for a single day, for a decade.

How is this even possible?
