Goodbye Glacier

We got caught waving goodbye on Glacier’s Westside Apgar Village webcam yesterday.
The West side, pictured here at Lake McDonald, was bright and sunny.
The East side went from partly sunny to completely grey by 10:00 AM yesterday.
Approaching Wild Goose Island overlook. You can see how low the clouds have come.
Wild Goose Island shrouded in Winter storm clouds.

Goodbye Glacier, 2019.

Three trips.

Ten weeks.

Unprecedented.

Enlightening.

Thank you.

Bold and simple

Bob Iger on Good Morning America a few days ago. Weeks ago, maybe longer, i pre-ordered Bob’s book, which arrived a week ago.

Bold.

Simple.

Electrifying.

The ride of a lifetime.

Midweek celebration

Yesterday on the Grinnell Glacier trail, this mountain Goat appears to be dancing.

This final Summer 2019 week in Glacier has been uniquely cold, rainy, and super windy (adding to the cold).

While you plan for as much as possible, you always hope for great (warm and sunny) weather.

And if you can’t enjoy warm and sunny weather, at least hope for weather that Floridians can stand to be outside in.

In eight days, only three hiking days.

We are celebrating the fact we are together, in Glacier, and that we have control over whether we experience a crisis or a celebration.

Staying optimistic in the rain

24 hours ago it looked like the day might be another wash.
Heading to Logan Pass, snapped a pic of Wild Goose Island from the car.

Staying optimistic in the rain is the only logical choice. With only a handful of days left in Glacier, settling isn’t an option.

The Herd mentality is exploding

Near Browning, MT.
Same herd, same place, different day.

The Herd mentality is exploding.

In my first book, Mid Life Celebration: • rethink • reprioritize • recommit, i uncover what i can only label “The Herd” mentality.

If everyone is doing it, how can it be wrong?

Turns out, when we blindly and habitually follow society’s accepted standards (mentally, physically, spiritually, professionally, and personally), we no longer have to acknowledge our truth.

What’s our truth?

Personal vibrancy is our sole responsibility.
