Boat trip, day 3, mind

three seniors on a boat
Off to a great start, day three.

Should we get sad at the reality of having to leave the water location?

Obviously, the Gulf isn’t our back porch pool.

Saying that, an important reminder…

Our back porch (with the small pool) is my favorite place in the whole world. Haven’t traveled the entire world, but have been to all 50 States and five Continents. Antartica and Africa are not bucket list continents, but if it happens, great. If not, great too.

And through all that travel, my back porch is the number one fav. Second favorite by the way, is our front porch.

Boat trip, day 2, mind

four seniors on a boat
We spent the day here, anchored in at three-feet depth.

What is it that stimulates our mind, body, and spirit when we are next to water?

Does the mind, body, spirit stimulation change when we immerse ourselves in the water?

Personally, i think it’s our human voyager instinct. The desire to seek to discover (and understand) what’s out past the horizon.

Have experienced this with summiting some of Glacier’s mountains.

i ask…

What’s on the other side? What will we see from up there that we’ll never get to see from down here?

Will our voyager curiosity be satisfied?

Will our voyager thirst be quenched?

Boat trip, day 1, mind

Three months ago. Bradenton, Florida. We’re heading back today. Photo: Our friends’ boat.

Why does visiting a water feature stimulate our mind, body and spirit?

Will keep that question in mind as we return to…

Anna Maria Island.

Longboat Key.

Sarasota Bay.

Siesta Key.

The ‘Gulf’.
