Two different locals have shared versions of a story that revolves around an American Military base in our vicinity. Both stories spoke of the area being bombed. One as a practice area. Another as an attempt by the Japanese to hit a nearby airbase.

Yet they had arguably the greatest music fans, ever, known as Dead Heads.

They didn’t need nor seek popularity with the masses.

They played music because they loved playing music.

Their fans came to their concerts because they loved seeing people who loved playing their “unpopular” music.
