Happy birthday to one of the world’s greatest thinkers, Walt Disney 1901 -1966. His attitude towards creativity, business, entertainment… unprecedentedly boundary-less. But he didn’t feel confident he had made a sizable contribution until he was in his later years.

  1. Jeff,

Yes, a wonderful birthday to the man who has helped to make many a person’s birthday wonderful every day of the year. I remember earlier this year, being at Disney World during my son’s 9th birthday, my son was given his Disney birthday badge. Not only that, but the rest of us were given badges, saying, “We are here to celebrate Graham’s birthday.” That was cool – a nice souvenir. But that was only where it began. From that point on, every time any park cast member saw my son and his badge, the cast member would stop and wish my son a Happy Birthday. Then this would start a conversation, with the cast member asking how my son was enjoying himself in the park and if Disney World was helping him to have a wonderful birthday.

Why did I tell that story? That mindset that makes those cast members go above and beyond started with Walt Disney himself. And for that, I wish him a Happy Birthday.

    Bob
