In the Boomer’s dream, he started drinking again

Last night in a dream, a Boomer rationalized it was ok to drink under a special circumstance. So glad it was a dream and not reality. Midlife is this fork in the road:

  1. Celebrate an amazing right of passage
  2. Go into crisis mode and panic

  1. My daughter just woke up from a nightmare. It’s amazing how vivid and real dreams can seem. Of course when Justin Beiber saved her from the cat attack she knew something was amiss.

  2. Patty, dreams know no limits or restrictions. Dreams are not afraid of embarrassment, ridicule, pressure, compliance, limits, acceptability, etc.

    And yes, they can be scary, for the simple reason they seem real. Too real for comfort, so we awaken. And say, “Thank goodness it was only a dream”.
