Day 2 West Glacier, mind

Leaving this small, cozy Glacier Park Lodge room for a small cabin in West Glacier.

Not bad for a small cabin.

On a side note: When we return in a couple weeks, we’ll have a bigger room than the one i just left. From one double bed to two queen beds. Thanks to Kyle, front desk manager for sorting this out.

Kyle approached me as i was leaving the Lodge and thanked me for my loyalty. He said he saw i have 26 previous visits in their system and he suspected it was more. Some years ago, the company had a name change. It sounded like whatever history was with the previous name was gone.

He’s the first Pursuit employee to call out my loyalty to them.

While i do not expect to be called out, it feels “professional” to be recognized for high achievement. Recognition is a demonstration of care. Care never gets old.

In most organizations, recognition is insidiously lacking.
