The dinner conversation with close friends last night drifted into why I write five daily, differently-themed blogs.
(… a run of four-plus years and 8k+ posts)
Won’t go on and on about it (because I did that last night), but will say three things:
- It was an accident
- It was never a goal
- It truly is a miracle
Ever catch yourself in an unintentional accident that became a miracle?

Yesterday was a miracle a gift a blessing. God’s handiwork.
Patty, and today will be another in an endless list of days. Yet for some, the end will arrive today. A few are expecting it. Fewer still have prepared for it. Most will be caught by surprise.

Natalie, God’s plan is not our plan. The beauty in our life is discovering God’s plan and thinking, Man, I’m the luckiest person alive.
PS. And there’s a decent chance we may not want or appreciate God’s plan – meaning we’d pick something else. But then we humble ourselves and realize… it’s not within our control. And this is actually liberating (imho).
Be a world-class Mom. Anything more glamorous than that? Hardly.
