T-minus 2.5 days until Glacier trip #2

Logan Pass wildlife
July 2014. Logan Pass.

Late starts for writing happen sometimes.

Days like this are rare.

Kind of refreshing actually.

Especially when it’s intentional and not busy-schedule driven.

It’s a Friday afternoon as i write this.

It’s been a great morning up to now.

And knowing that on Monday morning i’m heading back to Glacier National Park for the second of five 2018 Summer trips.

Live like you mean it.

What do you want from life?

Are you sure?

Do your habits enable or inhibit progress?

How significantly does your attitude enable or inhibit?

One amazing day leads to another

writing Disney books in Glacier National Park
Word spread through Apgar, Montana that everyone should rush down to Lake McDonald.

It felt close enough to touch.

Meanwhile, life goes on as planned. Those mountains are a dozen miles away.

The morning after – no pill required to be inspired.

Couple weeks ago the day ended well, which led to a new day (4th photo, above) of writing from my room.

Stunning Glacier National Park video

Stunning Glacier National Park video.

Paused this six-minute video many times and studied the peaks i recognize and their relationship to other peaks and ridges.

From the ground, peaks and ridges seem so far apart.

From the air, it’s amazing how relatively close they are to each other.

The higher you get, the smaller the Park seems.

Who would have thought one-million acres isn’t quite as massive as it once seemed?

Not counting today, T-minus two days

candy
Catch the note at the top? We often use humor to mask our weaknesses. Addiction to sugar is a weakness. But if we joke about it, maybe we aren’t addicted? Tough love got it’s name for a reason.

Awoke not long ago at 4:30am.

Planned to sleep in until 6am.

Up later than normal last night watching Avatar.

Not counting today, T-minus two days until wheels up at 8am Wednesday.

An idea woke me up.

And an excitement about being totally ready by tomorrow (Monday) night.

When this happens, Tuesday will be a carefree day.
