Lean into discomfort.

dad

We are intentionally unintentional with this week’s schedule.

Why?

We have no Spring season experience to draw from.

We know there is snow, and mud, and cold on the trails.

Most trails aren’t open and won’t be for two more months.

Going-to-the-Sun Road isn’t open yet.

We are comfortable leaning into each day without a solid plan.

This is new for us.

Uncomfortable.

And fun.

The plan today is to drive to Jackson Glacier Overlook. We also plan to stop at East Glacier, Two Medicine, and Wild Goose Island on the way.

21-second video: Also yesterday. Shed or you’re dead.

We do not visit Glacier to see wildlife. We go to live a wild life.

dad

The wild teaches me the same lessons it taught Neanderthals.

The strong, the fast, and the cunning survive.

Periwinkles are in our top three flowers.

The ultimate positive thinking is confident, courageous, and personal.

It’s easy for me to forget how critical it is strive for all five of life’s big choices to be operating at my highest levels.

Why?

Because i’m on auto-pilot.

No thought whatsoever.

Everything matters.

Nothing is optional.

Note: Not perfect. Compared to previous versions of myself, doing much better than the older versions. Wisdom comes from experience. Experience comes from making mistakes.
