Swiftcurrent Valley, day 5, mind

mountain range silhouette
Looking West, about 15 miles East of Grinnell Point (seen here decently left of center…very center is Swiftcurrent Mountain and the Swiftcurrent Firetower). Mt Wilbur is tallest on right.

Swiftcurrent Valley’s remoteness and its towering mountains make me feel small on our large planet Earth.

And then i recenter and realize while Earth seems large, when you start accepting the science on how large the cosmos is, it’s an awakening.

Ever driven from Philly to Seattle? It took me a week the first time.

Now imagine traveling at light speed and it takes 100,000 light years to go end to end in our Milky Way.

And Our Milky Way galaxy (in my simplist understanding) is simply a flake of dust in the greater cosmos space.
