Great Plains meet Great Mountains

The Great Plains meet The Great Mountains.

We are certain at an Ocean beach that we are in the place where two distinct entities (land and water) meet.

The great, profound boundary is crystal clear.

The video above showcases another crystal clear boundary. i filmed this from the Western-most edge of The Great Plains. And we clearly see the irrefutable rising of the Great Rocky Mountains. In this case, the Northern US Rockies, specifically known as Glacier National Park.

Glacier’s Rockies march to the Canadian border. Canada then takes the Rockies back to the US in Alaska.

Knock, knock, knock, Glacier

Knock, knock, knock, Glacier…
snow covered mountains
In June, snow prohibits vehicular access to Logan Pass. This also means most of the high-elevation trails are closed too. Snow plows usually get Going-to-the-Sun Road opened between mid-June and early July.

By September, it’s “Welcome, come on in. Make yourself at home.” The first snow will be here any day now.

Livin’ the dream

Today’s posts include four Morgan Wallen music videos. Taking a break from the war, business, and Covid. Morgan has a storied past. He has, in my opinion, tried to redeem himself. It’s all any of us would want, a chance to prove ourselves worthy of respect. This first song reminds me of what it’s like to be a Disney Keynote speaker…you know, with all the glamour that comes with what outsiders perceive to be a ‘rock-star’ job…thank you Morgan for capturing the essence of the paradoxical reality of “fame”…

Livin’ the dream.

Take a moment to recall Bill Wither’s song, “Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone”.

Always said while traveling constantly for Disney Institute, “Ain’t no glamour on the road.”

Afternoon delight

post it note about change is coming
Indeed. Excited to see if a 13-year daily habit can morph into something remarkably refreshing, possibly even angelic.

Starland Vocal Band’s 5.7 million views of their 1976 hit “Afternoon Delight” was the first thought yesterday wondering how today’s “official” (and unplanned) launch of non-morning writing.

Nothing like deciding in under 10 minutes that you are going to try a radical departure from a ‘lifetime’ habit.

We shall see how, and if, this change sticks.

Crave failure.

Do things that might not work.

You could be wrong.

Those things that might not work, might actually work. Perhaps even better than the original habit.

Perhaps somewhere, angelically, over the rainbow.

A Mid Life Celebration supporter sent this inspiring You Tube clip. It could not have come at a better time.

And one more thing Son, it came to me, because of a thing called the law of attraction. It’s similar to another cliche you and I have talked about extensively, “Birds of a feather flock together”.

Dear Son, we’ll watch this tonight when I get home from Scott’s service.

Chapin, i love you. Never forget that. Never. Ever.

i know you won’t.
