Quietly and patiently watching a sunset closes your being to a brand new evening — an evening you’ve never seen before, nor will ever see again.
In both moments, you can think anything you want. These moments are special because without the act of sitting still to slowly watch, you will rarely pause like this.
Better to habitually pause than to not habitually pause.

While at Disney Institute (DI), early in my DI career, i developed and operationalized this “Disney Customer Service” mantra. It wasn’t the content specialist designer mindset that created this. It was me trying to simplify a sparkly-design mentality. The bells and whistles, pixie-dusted vernacular had our (paying) audience blinded to the simple Disney DNA. i made and continue to make it my life’s work to deconstruct and then reconstruct Disney’s world-class operational DNA. “Pay attention to details, exceed expectations.”
