We had a couple stunning May (2024) weather days in Glacier.

But as soon as we got home and left Orlando’s airport yesterday it immediately felt like home.

Palm trees. Sunshine. Heat.

Year-round.

No place like it.

Not even GNP.

But when GNP’s high-country, backcountry trails are open, it competes with Walt Disney World.

Seriously.

Note: Math easily favors Walt Disney World’s goodness over Glacier’s goodness. When you compare three months of goodness versus 12 months of goodness, well, you do the math.

Second note: Today’s theme is ‘Pre’. The Prefontaine Classic is happening in a couple weeks on Hayward Field, (Track Town, USA) at Eugene’s University of Oregon.

Denver airport restaurant — We dined here as a family a decade ago. All three of us were wowed by the airport restaurant quality. We’ve never had a long enough layover to try it again. Cheryl always texts a pic to our son, when he’s not traveling with us. i commented on the text thread about spying the Australia Zoo pin.

You know, your thoughts, attitude, and mindset.

As well as your movement, nutrition, and rest.

Days ago the Camp Store manager mentioned the Lodge was opening Friday.

The camp store two days ago was the only open operation. We visited before our hike to McDonald Falls.

Chris, the manager, and i met a few years ago at Rising Sun.

i remembered him and he remembered me.

We had a nice conversation.

Told him we know Alan and Ben at front desk. That’s when he shared today’s opening date.

Note: Being dialed into the various Lodge opening dates is not on my radar. Now it is.
