To each their own, mind

Eight American Flags flying in front of a building
The joys of Freedom come with a price.

What does it mean to me when i say, “To each their own”?

Every American is free to believe and do whatever they want.

The context, however, is that every American is a law-abiding citizen.

There’s also the context of the obvious American morals.

i am, like you are, free to do and believe whatever i want.

But, i must not take away your ability to live freely.

The easiest way for me, and everyone, to do this is to be a moral, law-abiding American citizen.

Note: Never planned to have the exact same content for all of today’s blogs. Creatively, it is where my heart is on today’s topic. All five photos today are different versions of American Flags, with unique commentary under each.

Indecent, mind

How does something or someone get labeled (defined) indecent?

Miriam Webster dictionary defines indecent here.

Summarized, “grossly improper or offensive”.

Personally, i feel indecent when i focus on problems instead of challenges and opportunities. So, long ago, i stopped doing it.

Good, mind

Disney Speakers jeff noel
Change is in the air. Good change.

Is ‘good’ all it’s cracked up to be?

What if ‘bad’ was humanity’s standard?

What if change was always viewed as bad?

Laws, mind

Stephen Hawking quote about the Universe
Because there is a law such a love…Earth is roughly 4.5 billion years old. Laws are maybe 6,000 years old, at best. We know nothing about how our universe works. The science experts are trying to educate us, but we find comfort in religious dogma.

What are the laws of life that are time-tested, yet have no legal consequence?

Blinding flashes of the obvious have been hidden from most because most are followers.

Leaders need followers.

So do snake-oil salespeople.

It’s a self-fulfilling ecosystem.

Then there’s you.

What do you believe?

Is it different than society’s view?

How does that make you feel?

Are you convicted and committed?

Is this a liability?

Is this an asset?

imma go with asset.

Transformational asset.

No one is breaking any laws in this space.

Live and let live.

To each their own.

Norms, mind

post it note think differently
Brainstorming in 2019. This is my visual for “thinking INSIDE the box”.

Classic question for all ages, what is normal?

Normal?

.thinking .differently like it’s my job.

Thinking differently disrupts friends and colleagues relationships with you.

Why?

Because you ask questions they’ve never been asked.

Ever!

And your questions, that you first tested on yourself, they are deeply uncomfortable.

Why?

Because you poured your heart and soul into discovering them.

And that is what changed your life…these new questions.

Ps. It is a privilege to write this post, along with the 32,000+- other posts i’ve published in my lifetime.
