The wind chill of life

25-second video from Piegan Mountain 9,200′. Sept 2020. First solo summit.

The wind chill of life does two things:

  1. Provides perfect opportunity for whiners to whine
  2. Provides perfect opportunity for optimists to hope

Most of the time a mountain is windy and cold. You generally won’t know until you get there. Although the odds are low for still, warm summits, you summit anyway. You love everything about it, especially the obstacles opportunities.

Resolutions always work

16-second video: An Eastern window (looking West) into Glacier National Park at St Mary. Resolve to thrive vs survive?

You cannot grow if you are burnt out.

Make your mental health – mental vibrancy – a daily priority.

If not now, when?

If not ever, why?

Oh, that’s right, resolutions always never work.

Pro tip for 2023: Pick a calendar date that has an inspiring personal narrative. Hint: January 1st resolutions are bad karma.

Personal examples: Have used April Fools Day, Tax Day (April 15), Halloween, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve. Personal narrative is amplified when you intentionally pick a memorable and meaningful milestone launch date.
